As the black and purple sky approached along with the strong and heavy winds, I literally had to run around in the entire house missing out on my favourite TV series F.R.I.E.N.D.S to make sure that none of the doors or windows were open for all the dust and dirt to come in! (When you've got working parents, and you're home alone, then you ought to make sure that the entire house is just the way your parents left it in the first place! :P I mean it could be CLEANER obviously.. :D But try to make it a bit messier and you're all set to enjoy a long lonng chain of taunts for weeks!! :P)
Anyways.. The storm came to a halt and suffocated as I was inside the niche. I went to open the windows and doors again. And after that, all I could do was to get enchanted by the 'sweet nothings' surrounding me.
As the sky poured out its tears of happiness, probably on the occasion of the birth of a new cloud.. :/ ( I'm too happy right now to talk about the technical reason of precipitation.. ^_^ just in case some science guy is raising his eyebrow on the preposterousity of my last line :P ), I collected little joys that almost all of us has witnessed every now or then during the first rains.
And here is the list of the little happiness-es, that I made while enjoying this little shower today.. Let's see how many of our match!! ;)
-A relief from the heat: Ofcourse after those countless sweaty nauseas afternoons, here comes a time when you could stand in your balcony stretching your arm straight out, to feel the tickling of the drizzles! (Gives sensations, doesn't it! :) )
-The filmy pose! :P : Well I don't know about you, but what I love is coming out of the house, closing my eyes and feeling the wind whooshing past the pores of my skin as if it were some kind of life changing moment like that in movies!! :P ( And ya.. The feel of wind followed by an Ahaaa... saaxxyy hawa :D )
-Scooty Rides: At one moment you see students coming back from tuitions on Scootys and bikes, giggling.. and laughing. Enjoying drops of water on their faces..
Next thing.. You end up calling one of your bestest buddies to have a ride yourself just so that you could sing your throats out to make sure ki "hum bhi kisi se kam nahi!" B)
-Colours! : Ofcourse! Many many colours! The green trees are greener.. Reflecting the yellow-orange tint of the sky. Flowers in your garden cleaner! More colourful! Skies brighter And everything so so SO full of life!!!!
-The Petrichor 😍: What could literally replace the smell of "geeli mitti"!! ^_^
-Coming to smells, petrichor diffused with the smell of hot coffee and chicken tikka or any other chicken delicacy (if you're a hardcore chicken lover like me <3 ) is surely a treat to the nose!! Well tongue too.. Ofcourse! ^.^
-Birds: Seeing different birds (I saw 3 different species today about whose names I'm absolutely clueless :/ ) puffing their wings to rinse off the rain droplets! Hearing them sing and seeing them fly away to a distant world!! I'm still awestruck! *_*
-Memories? : Why not??!! :D The little sweet memories with your crush? Your many many bicycle rides? The day you went out with friends? The first time that you'd won a prize? When you weren't scolded by the strictest teacher for not having done your homework! The first article of your First Ever Blog?? ;).... And the list is endless over here...
-Paperboats!!!! : Making one and appreciating yourself that after years, you can still do it like a pro!! B) (Oh I could seriously use a pat on my back! :') )
And save the best for the last..
-Mudpools!!!!! : Literally these puddles could hypnotise me into coming and jumping into one of those!! Naughty naughty puddles! ^_^
Life goes on and we all are too busy shaping our lives. But as they say "don't forget to LIVE while making a living". We could definitely take out these small amounts of times to appreciate what's going on around us. And then realise how those little times could give us little memories that would be the greatest joys that we'll cherish for life.. :)
I hope you lived the little joys just as I am enjoying them right now!
Which brings me to one more happiness that I'm looking forward to in these rains...
